NoBrakes - Theoretical Design Exhibit
I participated in "NoBrakes," a theoretical design exhibit organized by the AIA Florida Gulf Coast chapter. The challenge was to explore a design for a 2,000 s.f. (max) house. There were no other restraints placed on the project. The concept of this design exploration was to create multi-functional zones in a house with highly adaptable spaces that allowed for a mix of public and private uses. The ground plane was left as open as possible, with the house "floating" above a garden that runs through the middle of the lot from the front entry into a pool area in the rear.
